Drift Jellyfish Glitter Squishy
Slow-melt calm for anxious moments and 2 a.m. overthinking
Squishies & Slow-Rising Toys
A soft, slow-rising axolotl squishy with frilly little gills and a sleepy smile. The cutest, calmest thing to keep within reach.
Axo is calm with a face only an axolotl could pull off. Press the soft body and it eases back to shape over a few slow seconds, the frilly gills settling as it rounds out again. That unhurried rise is the whole appeal: a gentle, repeating motion that gives anxious hands a job and your eyes something soft to follow. The matte skin is kind to fingertips for long, idle fidgeting, and the sleepy smile makes it hard to keep off the desk. Silent, pocketable, and ready whenever the day asks for something soft to hold.
Slow-rising polyurethane (PU) foam with a soft matte skin and non-toxic printed detailing. BPA- and phthalate-free.
Spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and air dry fully; never soak foam squishies. Keep away from heat, oils and sharp edges. Not food-safe; keep away from mouths.

Update: still going strong after the holidays
Bought two before Christmas, one Blush Pink and one Lilac, for my twin girls who are both deep in their axolotl phase. Update after about five months: they get handled constantly and have held up far better than I expected for a foam squishy. The slow rise still works perfectly, no tears, no flat spots, and the colour hasn't faded. They use them everywhere — car rides, the dentist waiting room, school for one who has it written into her plan as a focus tool. The teacher said it's been quiet and non-distracting, which was my main worry. Pricier than the gas station kind but these have genuinely lasted, so per-month I'm not mad about it. Would buy again, probably will when birthdays roll around.
hooked
Keep one on long calls and another in waiting rooms. Couldn’t be happier.
so soft
Would buy again in a heartbeat. Helps quiet my head before bed.
the slow rise is the whole point and it nails it
tbh i've bought a lot of squishies and most of them rise back too fast to be satisfying. this one takes its time — proper four to six seconds, you can actually watch it round out and the gills resettle. matte skin doesn't go shiny or sticky after weeks of handling. it lives on my nightstand and i squish it while i read. the sleepy face is just a bonus. genuinely glad i got it.
disappointed
Disappointed. It’s a bit smaller than I pictured, and for me that’s the whole point of the slow-rise squishy. Yours might be fine, mine wasn’t.
my new favorite
Couldn’t be happier. Feels amazing in the hand.
good, minor niggle
Really like this squishy — it lives on my nightstand now. Only thing, it’s a bit smaller than I pictured. Still using it daily.
cute and squishy but the colour wasn't what I saw
Mixed feelings on this one. The squish itself is great — slow, soft, my niece does love watching it puff back out, and it's silent which I appreciated. But the Lilac I ordered came a good bit lighter and grayer than the photo, almost washed out, not the soft purple shown online. Not a dealbreaker for a kid who mostly cares that it's an axolotl, but if you're particular about getting the exact shade pictured, just go in knowing it might not match. For the price I'd hoped the colour would be closer.
hooked
Honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it has become part of my wind-down.
great little fidget
Didn’t think a squishy would do much, but it genuinely calms me down.
wasn't expecting to like it as much as she does
Got it for my 9 year old's Easter basket and somehow it's become a shared thing — she squishes it during homework, I squish it while I'm on hold with the insurance company. The matte texture is really pleasant, kind of grippy-soft, and the four-second rise is hypnotic in a good way. Blush Pink, true to the picture for ours. Holding up well so far.
so worth it
Didn’t think a squishy would do much, but it lives on my nightstand now.
so worth it
use it at my desk every day. Couldn’t be happier.
gills are delicate — fine for me, maybe not a rough kid
Really sweet little thing and the slow squish is lovely for fidgeting at my desk between calls. One honest flag for parents though: the frilly gills and the little legs feel quite thin and bendy. I'm careful with mine and it's perfect, but I could absolutely see a younger, rougher kid pulling a gill and tearing it. If it's for a toddler-ish age I'd supervise. For a teen or an adult it's spot on.
does the job
My anxiety is easier to sit with when this is in my hand.
really good, one small thing
Really like this squishy — it helps me feel a bit calmer. Only thing, there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. Still using it daily.
so soft
better than I expected. Lives on my nightstand now.
third squishy from this shop, best one yet
We have a small collection going now and the axolotl is the clear favourite in this house. My son is autistic and the slow rise is really regulating for him — he presses it and watches the gills settle, over and over, and it visibly takes him down a notch before bed. Silent is a big deal for us, no clicky or popping noise to set anyone off. Blush Pink, about 10cm, light enough that it travels in his backpack to grandma's. The matte skin has held up to daily handling for two months.
does the job
A few weeks in and it’s still going strong. Better than I expected.
lovely, just know it's not a cheap squishy
No complaints about the toy itself — the rise is genuinely slow and satisfying, the Mint colour is pretty, and it's quiet enough for my classroom calm corner. The only thing that made me pause was the price. At $13.49 it's a fair bit more than the ones in the dollar bins, so I bought one to try before committing to a set for the whole table. It is noticeably nicer quality, so I'll probably go back for more, but the cost is real.
calm in the palm
Exactly what I hoped for. Lives on my nightstand now.
great little fidget
Takes the edge off when I’m wound up. Silent too, which is the main thing for me.
the sleepy little smile gets me every time
okay i am a 34 year old woman and i bought a squishy axolotl for myself with zero regrets. got the Lilac, it's the softest matte texture and just fits in my palm. keep it on my nightstand and squish it while my brain does its 11pm racing thing. doesn't fix anything but it gives my hands something calm to do until i actually feel tired. so so cute too 🩷
love it
bought one, already ordered another. It helps quiet my head before bed.
does the job

happy overall
Really like this squishy — it is so satisfying to squish. Only thing, it’s a bit smaller than I pictured. Still using it daily.
great little fidget
so soft and the slow rebound is genuinely satisfying. No notes, love it.
press, watch it puff back up, repeat
Squeeze it flat and it rounds back out over about four or five seconds — that part is the whole thing for me. I keep it next to my keyboard and reach for it when I'm stuck on a problem instead of opening my phone. The gills are cute and floppy. Just a soft, quiet desk companion that does exactly what it promises.
buy it
didn’t think a little squishy would do much, but it scratches the sensory itch just right.
better than expected
Quiet, calming, perfect for in meetings. Worth it.
my 12yo is axolotl-obsessed and lost it (in a good way)
He's been begging for axolotl stuff since he found them in Minecraft and this was the birthday win. Cute face, good size, squishes slow exactly like the listing said.

my daughter named hers within five minutes
Bought this as a reward for finishing her reading log and it has not left her side since. She went with the Mint one because of Minecraft, obviously, and now "Mossy" the axolotl sleeps on her pillow. The slow squish-back is weirdly satisfying for me too — I keep stealing it off her desk. Soft matte feel, no smell out of the package, and totally silent so it's fine during quiet reading time. Worth the gift.

quiet enough for a shared bedroom
Two kids, one room, and one of them needs to fidget to fall asleep while the other needs silence. This is the rare toy that solves both — completely silent, no clicking, just a soft slow squish. He keeps the Mint one under his pillow and it's part of the bedtime routine now. Soft, well made, no weird chemical smell. Happy purchase.
buy it
Better made than the cheap ones online — this one actually lasts.

4 questions answered by our team and buyers
Ask a questionHow big is it really? It's hard to judge the scale from photos.
It's about Approx. 10 cm. It sits comfortably in an adult palm and tucks into a bag or pocket easily. The full dimensions are in the details table on this page.
Is the Axo Slow-Rise actually quiet enough to use in a quiet office?
Completely silent, yes. No clicks, no pops, nothing for anyone to notice. It's one of the toys we specifically recommend for meetings, classrooms and quiet offices.
Would this work for an autistic adult who needs sensory input?
Honest answer: it helps a lot of people, and we won't pretend it's magic. Having something to squish with your hands can take the edge off restlessness, stress or the urge to fidget, and many of our customers find that genuinely steadying. It is a supportive tool though, not a treatment or a cure. If you're navigating a diagnosis, a professional is the right person to guide that.
Helps me more than I expected. mostly it just gives my hands a better job than picking at my nails.
Can I clean it if it gets grubby?
Spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and air dry fully; never soak foam squishies. Nothing fussy, and it freshens right up.
